GER VESSELS

GER VESSELS

from 40.00

Origin Ger, Normandy, France

These 19th century sandstone vessels from Ger would have held Calvados, a French cider. Ger was the centre for pottery in Normandy at this time, these bottles would have been cheap and easy to make on the wheel. Due to high demand, they were churned out quickly, with little attention given to aesthetics or uniformity. Hence why each bottle differs in size, shape and tone.

These are incredibly beautiful and rustic items that could be used as stand alone ornamental pieces, or as a vase.
