A jug from Biot France, 1950’s.
Biot is a neighbouring town to the wider known Vallauris. Throughout the 1800’s it was famous for its production of huge olive oil jars. Along with the post war ceramic revolution in Vallauris, the potters of biot turned their attention to contemporary pottery. A very rare piece stamped Biot.
